News and more shopping…

So, no news from Twisted Throttle so far about the boxes and the skid plate for the bike, I sent them an email this week-end and hope to get an update tomorrow about the delay. I knew some of the stuff was back-ordered, so it was expected but I still hope to get a shipping date soon.

On the other side, I got my centerstand from my local reseller – who in fact ordered through Twisted Throttle – and installed it after work on Friday. It was pretty straightforward and I love the result. Very sturdy and nice looking.

I had also bought a torque wrench I thought I would need to use to install the stand, but I ended not using it. I will still need to check if the screws stay in place properly in the coming days.

Yesterday I did a ride to Harrison Hot Springs with a few fellow riders, and we went there through nice curvy back roads instead of the highway. Loved it. All the better that we rode with the sun and it only got a bit cloudy after we reached Harrison, so that was quite the enjoyable ride.

Last but not least :)

So, Ray led us through these roads he had already taken in the past, and thanks to his GPS, which had me decide to invest now in a GPS. So I ordered a TomTom Rider 400 from Amazon.ca which should be here on Wednesday. Relying just on the smartphone for directions is not good enough and gets totally useless without a data connection, whereas the GPS can be preloaded with the necessary maps on the wifi and used on the roads with no worries about losing access.

And finally I’m also waiting for SkeneDesign P3 and Photon Blaster visibility lights, so that I can be seen by night or bad weather…
