I forgot to mention in my last post the impressive number of wind turbine before and after Amarillo. The following picture doesn’t do it justice, but I think they are in the 2-3 hundred range – at least the ones I saw – spread on different areas, often inlined with one another, but still turning at different speed. I think not having a lot of hills makes it quite a windy region – funny thing is, I’ve been through much more windy regions that could benefit more from wind turbines.
So the trip from Amarillo to Oklahoma City was pretty much of the same boring one as the previous one, mostly on I-40 between 70-80 mph avoiding and being passed by trucks at 85 mph or more… Other than that, pretty eventless.
Came at the motel by the end of the afternoon, and went to visit Oklahoma City, an city that reminded me Atlanta downtown – at a much smaller scale – thanks to its absent life.
