Woke up early, went for my morning waking-up shower, packed everything, and rode downtown to take some picture of Savannah, which I had not seen that much the night before, thanks to focusing on drinking without eating much 🙂
Savannah is definitely a nice little town, with quite some charm. However, I had to realize that today was a bit different from the usual days, because it was Veterans Day and the parade just blocked the main street of the city, but I could find a spot quite close.
Some elements of the parade were more typical of the musical culture of the region, with its various marching bands.
A bunch of high school bands was parading too, but then there also were some pretty weird elements, like that Sheriff parading in a sport car, or that weird boat that looked like a Carnival Party boat of some sort 🙂
I left the parade before it finished to take a few more representative shots from the town.
Then I walked back to the bike, turned the engine on, and left the city, heading toward Jacksonville, FL, which I reached around 4pm. After dropping my stuff at the motel, I went downtown to try and shoot a few pictures before the night, then headed to a Starbucks for a coffee and a sandwich for dinner.
