Days 39 & 40: Re-living our Youth in Morelia

Thursday was another rainy day in Morelia so we stayed in our room for most of it and worked, with only a short break for lunch at the plaza we had frequented on the days prior. We went for a stroll in the evening and stumbled upon a restaurant called Onix. We decided to have dinner there and were quite surprised at how fancy the food was for the price. Phil got salmon with grilled vegetables, I got coconut shrimp with rice and mango sauce, and we both got some Zinfandel to accompany the food.

During dinner, a live band started to play chart-toppers from the 80s that took us both back to our glory days and made us want to break into dance. But we refrained from indulging because straitjackets look uncomfortable.

The next day, we went to the Paseo Altozano mall because someone found out that there was a Starbucks there (can this qualify as a superpower?). We got there around noon and since there were very few people around, we decided to have some fun with the numerous sculptures around the mall. We had a quick lunch of burgers and paid a visit to Starbucks (obviously) before heading back.

Do these come in my size?

We decided to go back to Onix for our last dinner in Morelia. This time, I got the salmon Phil had the day before and he got some pasta. We were adventurous with our drinks this time and got kiwi margaritas 🙂
