Since we were stopped in Chitré for a few days and there wasn’t much to do within the city itself, we decided to do a day trip to Pedasí, a coastal town that is about 1.5 hours to the south of Chitré, on Sunday. The day was hot, but the ride was pleasant as the road was nice and paved throughout (typical of Panama so far). We stopped for lunch at a restaurant on the beach at Playa Venao and, since we had left our bathing suits behind, we enjoyed our seafood pizza while sweating in all our riding gear. Fun times.

We lounged at the restaurant for some time before we decided to ride back to Chitré and stay in our hotel’s pool until our fingers and toes got pruney.
