We would like to wish all our fellow maple syrup-loving, moose-dodging, toque-wearing dwellers of the best country to be a citizen of a HAPPY CANADA DAY!
While travelling exposes us to many wonderful places, it also makes us realize what a privilege it is to call ourselves Canadians, especially as immigrants and me as a woman because we know that most of the world is not especially kind to either group.
Some Canadian stereotypes are a bit silly (we don’t keep moose as pets or live in igloos), but no one associates us with violence or discrimination or a bigoted leader. We are known for apologizing, but never for where we’re from. Be proud, Canadians!
We love Canada and hope to someday travel across our country… when our wallets allow and when it’s not snowing. Small window, eh? 🙂
HAPPY CANADA DAY X 😁
Thanks, Jyl! 🙂
